Depart Heathrow at 1740 on the non-stop Air China flight to Beijing.

Transfer from the airport to the Super House International hotel

Day 3

Beijing

After breakfast, visit the grandiose Tiananmen Square, a true symbol of China’s entrance into the modern world. Tiananmen Square is also home to the National Museum of China, which after renovation, now stuns tourists who have the opportunity to view artefacts that give a taste of China’s 5,000-year-old social and political journey. Later visit the Temple of Heaven which will give you an insight into the important position Taoism played in the lives of the Emperors. Here, you will view the scene where the Emperor would pray to the Gods for a good harvest. Afterwards, visit the Liulichang Curio Street and Silk Store, where you can barter like the real Chinese for beautiful souvenirs, which are full of oriental charm and mystery. BL

Day 4

Beijing

In the morning you will visit the Lama Temple. The Lama Temple will open your eyes to East Asia’s most influential religion, Buddhism, its splendour illustrating the significance of the religion to the Chinese people for an extensive period of time. Afterwards, prepare yourself for the most fascinating sight Beijing has to offer, and one of the modern wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China. Afterwards, enjoy lunch and make your journey back to the City. En route, visit the iconic Bird’s Nest Stadium and Water Cube, home of the Olympic Games, where China proved herself to be a world competitor in sports and Beijing showed itself to be a leading world capital.
