Day 01 – Lhasa
On arrival into Lhasa you are met and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon will be at leisure. D

Day 02 – Lhasa
Start today’s tour with the Potala Palace, the home of the Dalai Lama, which was built in the 7th century and looms over the city of Lhasa. Move on to Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s summer residence. Later visit Jokhang Temple, the home of the most precious Buddha image the country possesses: the Sakyamuni Buddha. Also see Barekhor Square in the centre of Lhasa to soak up the local culture.

Day 03 – Lhasa
Today admire the Drepung Monastery on the western outskirts of Lhasa, previously the largest and wealthiest in Tibet. Continue on to visit the Sera Monastery, who was once a rival of Drepung. B/L/D

Day 04 – Lhasa/Gyantze
Head to Gyantze, the third largest city in Tibet. On the way, see Kampala Pass and Yamdrok Lake. Later visit Palkor Temple, which was built in 14th century. B/L/D

Day 05 – Gyantze/Shigatze
Take a private transfer to Shigatze, a previous contestant in gaining political and spiritual control of Tibet. Explore Tashihunpo Monastery in the afternoon. B/L/D

Day 06 – Shigatze/Lhasa
A relaxing day, transfer back to Lhasa, then the afternoon is at leisure. B/L/D

Day 07 – Lhasa
Your Tibetan experience has come to an end and it is time to say goodbye to your new friends. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. B
