Jiuzhaigou

Day 01 – Chengdu
On arrival into the modern city of Chengdu you are met and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon will be at leisure. D

Day 02 – Chengdu/Leshan
Today travel to Leshan, en-route admire the Giant Buddha, the tallest sitting Buddha in the world, and Wulong Temple. B/L/D

Day 03 – Leshan/Emei Mountain
Start the day by exploring the Thousand Buddha Caves before being transferred to Emei Mountain. B/L/D

Day 04 – Emei Mountain
Today take an excursion to the Gold Summit by cable car. Later walk around the Wannian Temple and the Baoguo Temple. B/L/D

Day 05 – Emei Mountain/Chengdu
Transfer back to Chengdu and have the rest of the day at leisure. B/L/D

Day 06 – Chengdu
A full day excursion is planned for today to visit the Panda Centre, Wenshu Monastery and a traditional Tea House. B/L/D

Day 07 – Chengdu/Jiuzhaigou
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Jiuzhaigou, ‘Valley of Nine Villages’. Upon arrival, transfer to the Huanlong scenic area. B/L/D

Day 08 – Jiuzhaigou
Today, discover this amazing area of China and enjoy the breathtaking views, including 117 lakes and 17 waterfalls. B/L/D

Day 09 – Jiuzhaigou/Chengdu/Ya'an
Today transfer to Ya’an to check into your hotel. Then continue on to the Bifengxia Panda Base. Here you help to look after the fluffy residents of the Panda research base. B/L/D

Day 10 – Ya'an
Spend your day volunteering at Panda Base. Get stuck in with carrying bamboo and cleaning out enclosures. An experience you will never forget by really getting to know ‘your’ panda. B/L/D

Day 11 – Ya’an/Chengdu
Today transfer back to Chengdu. B
