Day 01 Taiyuan/Pingyao
Arrive in Taiyuan, the capital of
Shanxi Province. Car transfer to
Pingyao in the afternoon. Check in
hotel for two nights stay.
Day 02 Pingyao
Founded in the 14th century, Pingyao
has been known as an outstanding
example of traditional Han Chinese
town. It was the banking centre of the
whole China in the 19th and early
20th centuries. Today you will be
visiting the Ancient Town and City
Wall in the morning and the Ming &
Qing Street and Rishengchang Draft
Bank in the afternoon. B/L/D
Day 03 Pingyao/Nanjing
Half day tour to Qiao Family’s Compound. Build in 1775, the exquisite and
exceptionally well-preserved structure
was the residence of a successful
merchant Mr Qiao Zhiyong in Qing
Dynasty. Afternoon drive back to
Taiyuan for evening flight to Nanjing.
Upon arrival, met and transferred to the
hotel for overnight stay in Nanjing. B/L
Day 04 Nanjing/Huangshan
We leave the morning at your own
leisure before taking afternoon train
to Huangshan, the Yellow Mountain
in Anhui Province. On arrival, met
and transferred to the hotel for two
nights stay. B
Day 05 Yixian Villages
Whole day trip to two villages in
nearby Yixian county. Hongcun,
having a history of over 1000 years,
is an ox-shaped village famous for its
idyllic beauty. Xidi, a village of more
than 300 residences built in Ming
and Qing Dynasties, is characterized
with its architectural art of wood
carving, stone carving and brick
carving. B/L/D
Day 06 Huangshan
Morning transfer to Huangshan
Scenic Area. Take cable car up the
mountain and visit West Sea and
North Sea areas. Enjoy the stunning
views of odd-shaped pines,
grotesque rocks, sea of clouds and
hot spring. Stay at the top of the
mountain this evening. B/L/D
Day 07 Huangshan/Shanghai
Descent down the mountain by cable
car and drive to Tunxi, the political
and commercial hub of Huangshan.
Visit the Old Street in the afternoon
before transferring to airport for
evening flight to Shanghai for two
nights stay. B/L
Day 08 Shanghai
Morning at leisure. Afternoon tour
to Zhujiajiao, a 1,700-year-old
water village, the nearest of its kind
to Shanghai. B/D
Day 09 Shanghai/Guilin
Morning fly to the Limestone
Mountain region city of Guilin. Met
and transferred to hotel for
overnight stay in Guilin. B/D
Day 10 Guilin/Yangshuo
Half day Li River Cruise to Yangshuo.
The 45 mile journey glides through a
landscape of natural beauty, including
mist shrouded crags and bamboo
groves which have inspired painters
and poets for centuries. In the
afternoon you may choose to hire a
bicycle and enjoy the fantastic scenery
and watch the locals as they tend the fields or shop in the market and then
relax in one of many cafes soaking up
the local for the local atmosphere. B/L
Day 11 Yangshuo
Today spend whole day with Yulong
River – is a paradise for a cruise
because of its green hills, silky water
and ancient bridges. You can move
forward to Xanadu, a primitive
minority village full of folk culture
and tranquil rurality. B/L/D
Day 12 Departure from Guilin
Transfer to Guilin airport for your
departure flight. B
