Day 01 Saturday – London/Shanghai
Begin your one of a kind holiday by making your own way to London Heathrow for an overnight flight to Shanghai with China Eastern Airlines.
Day 02 Sunday – Shanghai
On arrival into the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai you are met and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon will be at leisure to overcome any jetlag. D
Day 03 Monday – Shanghai/Xitang/Shanghai
Today take a coach journey to the ancient waterside town of Xitang. Explore the town by boat along one of the nine rivers that divides the town. See the beautiful architecture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ceilinged corridors and over 100 bridges. Transfer back to Shanghai in the evening. B/L/D
Day 04 Tuesday – Shanghai/Lijiang
Transfer to the airport for your flight to idyllic old town of Lijiang. Here visit the heavenly Black Dragon Pool and Dongba Cultural Museum that will give you an introduction to the culture of the Naxi minority. B/D
Day 05 Wednesday – Lijiang
Today take a chairlift to the top of Jade Dragon Mountain (3400m) in the Yak Meadow, followed by a trip to Yufeng Monastery, residential house of Dr. Joseph Rock. A barbecue lunch has been arranged at the foot of Jade Mountain and dinner has been arranged at Family Restaurant in the Old Town. B/L/D
Day 06 Thursday – Lijiang
Start the day by visiting the First Bend of the Yangtze (Stone Drum) and the Tiger Leaping Gorge. A picnic lunch had been arranged. Continue on to visit the Longquan Village in the afternoon. B/L/D
Day 07 Friday – Lijiang
Today is at leisure. Feel free to explore this peaceful town. B
Day 08 Saturday – Lijiang/Dali
Transfer by air conditioned coach to Dali, later view the Three Pagoda Temple and the second largest highland lake of China, Erhai Lake. Also a special visit to a local family has been arranged. B/L/D
Day 09 Sunday – Dali/Kunming
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the ‘city of eternal spring’, Kunming. In the afternoon take a tour to the unique UNESCO World Heritage site of Stone Forest. B/L/D
Day 10 Monday – Kunming
This morning visit the Western Hill, followed by the local Birds & Flower market. The afternoon is yours to relax. B/L
Day 11 Tuesday – Kunming/Beijing
Take a transfer to the airport for your flight to the vibrant city of Beijing. B
Day 12 Wednesday – Beijing
Today it is time to explore the awe-inspiring Great Wall of China at Mutianyu. Here immerse yourself in its history and walk along a section of the wall. B/L
Day 13 Thursday – Beijing
Today you have time on your own to discover this vast city of endless exploration. B
Day 14 Friday – Beijing/London
Your China experience has come to an end and it is time to say goodbye to your new friends. You have a transfer to the airport for your flight home to Heathrow with British Airways. Arrive in London later the same day. B
