Here you can find useful information about visits to China.

One of the greatest holiday experiences in the world is a visits to China. The country is genuinely unique. Its customs, culture, architecture, dress and landscapes are excitingly and refreshingly different to anywhere else.
It also offers a true sense of exploration because there is just so much to be seen and, fortunately, so little that has been turned into a typical tourist trail. It is said that the tourist who visitss China becomes a traveller. We recommend the visits to Xian, place of Terracota Warriors and many more tours organised by China Holidays.

We are the longest established tour operator in the UK to exclusively deal with China. We do not sell through the travel trade, we only sell direct to our passengers

Beijing, the capital city, is the nation ’s political and cultural centre. Beijing covers an area of 16,800 square kilometres with total population of over 12 million,of which about 6 million live in the city and the rest on the outskirts. As an ancient city with great splendour, Beijing is full of magnificent palaces and parks and has more than 50 museums. Among its most popular treasures are:

The Great Wall, one of the world ’s most popular tourist attractions, is 3,333 miles long and was built section by section between the 5th century BC and 16th century AD. The section we are going to visit is called Badaling, mainly built in Ming Dynasty (1368 –1644), it averages 7.8 metres in height, and is 6.5 metres wide at the base and 5.5 metres wide at the top.

Forbidden City - Officially known as the Former Imperial Palace or ‘Gugong ’, most foreigners prefer the name it was given to indicate that only the emperor ’s court and ministers – plus the occasional ambassador bearing tribute – were allowed into this small 'city ’ until the 1920s. The vast, exotic grandeur of the Forbidden City was brilliantly captured in ‘The Last Emperor ’ which was filmed there. It is an architectural masterpiece, with a breathtaking symmetry of palatial pavilions, courtyards, gates, treasure halls and gardens.

The Summer Palace is a former royal resort, which covers an area of 290 hectares. It mainly consists of a hill, the Longevity Hill and a lake, the Kunming Lake, with halls, towers, galleries, pavilions, bridges and islands dotted all over the land, hill and lake. Blending southern style garden architecture with northern national landscapes, the gardens are probably the best of their kind in Chinese garden architecture.
