"Understanding
China"
After your family and friends have visited you at your Chinese university, why not encourage them to gain a better understanding of
China
as a whole by taking a few extra days to go and see the rest of the country. Here are some of our most popular additional itineraries. These are examples, and may be adapted to suit your friends and family's needs. Similarly, if they would like to suggest other sites, we can also include these in their tour. Just click on the links to see these itineraries.
These tours are "extension tours".
With ten years of experience in creating tailor made tours to China, China Holidays can help your friends and family to visit you whilst in China, and to enjoy the holiday of a lifetime.
As more and more British students decide to go to study in China we have received many requests from their friends and family to create tailor made holidays to go and visit them in China.
We can arrange tailor made itineraries which will allow your friends and family to visit you during your term breaks and over the weekends wherever possible, so that you can see them as much as possible whilst they are there. Whether you are going to be studying in large international cities such Shanghai and Beijing, or smaller less well-known cities such as Dalian, or Qingdao, we can arrange it all; accommodation for your friends and family situated near to your place of study, tours around the city whilst you are in class etc is all possible.
For family and friends who would like to take up the opportunity to see the rest of China, we can arrange for extension trips after they have visited you at your Chinese university. We can arrange trips to well known tourist sites, such as Guilin and Yangshuo, or for those who really want to see the diversity of |China, trips to the far south in Yunnan province, or to Xinjiang province to see China Great North West.
Testimonial of previous client:
"We found China Holidays on the internet. We really didn't have a clue as to how to go about arranging this holiday as it was our first time to China, and we didn't know much about the country. All we knew was that our daughter was going to be studying in a place called Dalian. We found this company's services excellent. They helped us to arrange a holiday which focused on spending as much time with Kim as possible, but also allowed us to go off and experience the rest of China. We decided what we wanted to do, and China Holidays just made it all happen. It was tailor made in every sense of the word". Rosie Quigley
When family and friends of students intending to study in China contact us to see what we can arrange for them, they often have many questions and suggestions for their trip to China. Here are some examples of previous questions we have been asked;
- I want to fit the tour times in with my child's/friend's class schedule and term times- is this actually possible?
- Can you arrange for my child/friend to join us on some parts of the trip?
- Can we arrange for our younger child to come also? Will there be problems with travel insurance? Can we book triple rooms to stay in?
- Can we stay in the same accommodation as my child/friend, or at least nearby?
- Can we be left alone to explore the city with our child/friend, and then meet up with a tour guide when we leave to continue with the tour around the rest of China?
- Can you arrange for our visas for over a month?
- Can we adapt any of the tours in your brochure to fit in the specific city where our child/friend is studying?
- Can we give you some ideas of what we want to do and see whilst in China and you put the details together? We want to have more control over our itinerary.
- We have a budget, what can we see with X amount of money?
- Will there be a guide to meet us in every city, and to transfer us between the airport and city, I don't feel confident doing this alone.
This is all possible, and if you have more questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
I myself am a graduate of Chinese studies from the University of Sheffield 2006, and my own family and friends found this service very useful and just what they were looking for in terms of visiting my new home, and learning about the country.
