Day 01 London/Shanghai
Begin your exciting holiday by making your own way to London Heathrow for an overnight flight to Shanghai with China Eastern Airlines.

Day 02 Shanghai
On arrival into the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai you are met and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon will be at leisure to overcome any jetlag. D

Day 03 Shanghai
This morning visit the Shanghai Museum and relax in the Yu Garden, built in 1559 in both Ming and Qing dynasty styles. Later explore the Old Town and Jade Buddha Temple. An evening Acrobatic Show has been arranged. B/L/D

Day 04 Shanghai/Cruise
Relax this morning then transfer to the port to board a Victoria Cruise ship for your cruise upstream. B/L/D

Day 05 Cruise
Today begin your Yangtze River cruise. You have a half day shore excursion of Nanjing including a tour to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and a Qing Dynasty style Bazaar close to a Confucian Temple. B/L/D

Day 06 Cruise
Get ready for a full-day excursion to Mt. Huangshan ("Yellow Mountain") – one of China’s most famous mountain ranges. Travel to this inspiring retreat through some of the country’s most scenic rural area. B/L/D

Day 07 Cruise
Continue cruising down the Yangtze, an afternoon shore excursion is available to Wuhan visiting the Rare Stone Museum or take a Walking tour. B/L/D

Day 08 Cruise
Relax and let the Yangtze carry you away, today is a full day of sailing along the Yangtze River. B/ L/ D

Day 09 Cruise
After sailing through the Gezhou Dam visit the Three Gorges Dam. Here learn about the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken. Continue sailing through the Three Gorges Shiplocks. B/L/D

Day 10 Cruise
Today you have the morning visit to the 25-mile long Wu Gorge known for its quiet beauty and forest-covered mountains. After this a shore excursion to Daning River and Small Three Gorges has been arranged. Continue sailing through the Qu Tang Gorge the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic. Day 11 Cruise
Continue cruising down the Yangtze, a shore excursion is available to the ghost city of Fengdu. B/L/D

Day 12 Cruise/Chongqing/Xi’an
On arrival into Chongqing, transfer to the airport for your flight to the Ancient city of Xi’an.  Tonight acquire a taste for the Mutton Paomo, a local soup which is made with mutton, vegetables and spices, served with wheat flour flat bread. B/L/D

Day 13 Xi’an
Today get ready to visit the fascinating archaeological discovery of the Terracotta Warriors. This afternoon continue your discovery of Xi’an by visiting the Muslim quarter and enter the Great Mosque. A Dumpling Banquet has been arranged for tonight. B/L/D

Day 14 Xi’an/Shanghai
A morning tour visits the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Later transfer to the airport for your flight to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. B/L/D

Day 15 Shanghai/London
Your China experience has come to an end and it is time to say goodbye to your new friends. You have a transfer to the airport for your flight home to Heathrow with China Eastern. Arrive in London later the same day. B
