China Travel have always aimed to give our clients a first class experience with emphasis placed on the quality of sightseeing programs, accommodation, meals and the standard of the services. Many of our passengers consider that their journey will be a holiday of a lifetime but we have often found that our clients have enjoyed the experience so much that they have returned to this country few years later. China is an intriguing mixture of history, legend and a modern state which, at sometime in life, is an absolutely must for every traveller. We only deal with this country so, as we like to say we are experts in all things Chinese. We have Chinese staff who have led tours in this country themselves and we endeavour to arrange for all of our senior staff to visit this country at least once a year to ensure that their knowledge is right up to date. We hope that you will gain the impression from our web site that we have a very clear idea of what our passengers are looking for from their journey but also we are VERY happy to listen to ANY suggestions that you may have to any of the itineraries. We are also developing some specialist tours and again would welcome hearing from anybody wishing to partake in one of these specialist tours so we can tailor make a tour.
China also offers a true sense of exploration because there is just so much to be seen and, fortunately, so little that has been turned into a typical tourist trail. It is said that the tourist who visits this country becomes a traveller.
Hangzhou Hangzhou is a city famous for its beauty and heritage. The capital of Wu and Yue kingdoms of Five Dynasties during the 10th Century and capital of Southern Song Dynasty during the 12-13th Century, Hangzhou has been part of this country's rich tapestry for more than a millennium. Visit the Six Harmony Pagoda and West Lake (the centrepiece of Hangzhou). After lunch visit Linyin Temple and a Tea Farm before returning to Shanghai. Zhouzhuang Zhouzhuang was first a village established in 1086 of the Northen Song Dynasty (960-1126). As an ancient town on water, Zhouzhuang is charming for beautiful surroundings and simple ancient buidings and criss-crossing rivers and lakes. Over half of the buildings in the town were constructed in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Suzhou Suzhou, an ancient cultural city built 2,500 years ago, is know as ‘the Venice of the East'. The old town is built around a network of canal streets, criss-crossed by 300 bridges (of the 6,000 recorded by Marco Polo). Many private gardens built by scholars, poets and cultured Mandarins since the Song Dynasty (960-1279) make the city known for classical gardens. |
